Shenandoah National Park…dedicated to “this and succeeding generations of Americans for the recreation and for the re-creation which they shall find here.”

Franklin Roosevelt’s dedication of the new Shenandoah National Park in July of 1936 could not have been more prophetic, nor more profound.  Today, as for the past seven decades, outdoor enthusiasts flock to this mountain jewel for myriad types of recreation, bringing friends and family to share the glorious views.  Others, intent on connecting once again with the natural world, come to find solitude – and to re-create themselves.

Please help us preserve this very special connection between Shenandoah and its visitors. The Shenandoah National Park Trust needs your support to ensure a safe and beautiful future for the park and for the generations to come. Chas Cartwright, Former Park Superintendent believes, “The partnership with the Shenandoah National Park Trust is vital to the long-term protection of the park’s natural and cultural resources and to the enhancement of the visitors’ experience.”

There are so many ways to help – please choose one that works best for you.
