Join us for a panel discussion on Black Bear Safety! At this event, you’ll learn to keep yourself and any black bears you encounter safe and healthy. Panel Speakers include NPS Biologist Rolf Gubler from Shenandoah National Park; Department of Wildlife Resources Biologist Katherine Martin; and President of the Wildlife Center of Virginia, Ed Clark. These speakers have a combined 50+ years of expertise working with black bears! Come learn how to keep your campsite safe, how to bear-proof your backyard bird feeders, and what to do if you come across an injured or abandoned bear.
