Shenandoah in the City
November 9, 2023
The Shenandoah National Park Trust invites the Washington, DC community to an evening of engagement and hors d’oeuvres at Chez Billy Sud on Thursday, November 9th.
Just a short drive from our nation’s capital and within a 4-hour drive of more than 20 million people, Shenandoah National Park offers a respite from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Shenandoah in the City aims to connect park neighbors in our nation’s capital with the unparalleled beauty and value of this incredible place.
“Shenandoah National Park offers so many amazing opportunities for outdoor recreation,” said the Trust’s Executive Director, Jessica Cocciolone. “But it’s also more than that: the park is critical to our region’s efforts to combat climate change, preserve native species, protect the watershed, and so much more. And that work doesn’t happen without partners and supporters outside the park’s borders.”
This event will feature engaging discussions, delectable hors d’oeuvres, and an opportunity for attendees to learn more about the Trust’s work, partnerships, and impact in Shenandoah and the surrounding areas. Leaders from the Trust will provide insights into their conservation efforts, and a special guest from Shenandoah National Park will shed light on how donor dollars will be utilized to further enhance park programming, maintenance, and conservation initiatives.
Tickets are available through the Trust for $125 per person. All proceeds from the evening support conservation, education, and more in Shenandoah National Park, ensuring that future generations can continue to enjoy our public lands.
