Office Volunteers
Office Volunteers help with various work in our Charlottesville office like writing thank you cards, stuffing mailings, database clean-up, and more. While this work may not be flashy, it greatly increases the capacity of the small SNPT staff.
Volunteers Needed: Monday-Friday all year long.

Young Professionals Council
SNPT YPC members organize and participate in events, fundraising, and volunteer opportunities.

Event Volunteers
Event Volunteers aid Trust staff with day-of logistics at several events throughout the year.

Corporate Volunteers
Corporate volunteerism is a great way to promote team-building while providing meaningful impacts in the park. Corporate teams are welcomed to the park throughout the year. Reach out to Ethan at eserr@snptrust.org to learn more.

SNPT Ambassadors
Shenandoah National Park Trust Ambassadors represent the Trust at community events throughout the region. Their work is vital to educating surrounding communities about both the existence of the Trust and our work!
Ambassadors must attend SNPT Ambassador Training prior to volunteering in this capacity. 2026 trainings are closed.

Park Volunteers
Various opportunities arise throughout the year for our volunteers to help inside the park. These special opportunities include installing bear boxes in campsites, photographing the park, cleaning up overlooks and more.
If you’re interested in regularly maintaining trails in the Park, check out our partners: PATC and ACC. There are also volunteer search and rescue groups always in need of additional volunteers: Old Rag Mountain Stewards
