JULY 12-13, 2024

Members of the Limberlost Circle ($2,500/year) of SNPT’s Rapidan Society are invited to join us at Skyland Resort in Shenandoah National Park for a weekend of programming and engagement.  

Here is an overview of the weekend: 

Friday, July 12: 

• 5:00-6:30pm Cocktail Reception – Skyland Conference Center 
• 6:30-7:00pm Picnic dinner provided 
• 7:00pm Picnic & Concert – Skyland Ampitheater 

•  Featuring: Lua Project, a Mexilachian group inspired by the sounds of Mexico, Appalachia, and the Atlantic Basin. 

Saturday, July 13:  

• 9:30-10:30am  

Guided Walk along the Limberlost Trail, with Nat Phelps, NPS Facilities Manager for Backcountry & Trails. Nat will teach us about trail maintenance and design and talk about how to design an inclusive and accessible trail network.   

• 10:30-11:30am Coffee & Bagels and coffee – Skyland Amphitheater 
•  11:30-1:00pm Artist’s Demo & Workshop 

• Featuring the July Artist-in-Residence, Megan Evans. Megan will share the ways that her art helps her investigate nature, specifically the way in which mathematical concepts are represented. We look forward to this fun, interactive exploration of her creative process.
